Learning Objectives
By the end of the webinar, nurses will be able to:
Describe normal thermoregulation
Explain the thermoneutral zone
Summarize heat production and heat loss
Differentiate fever from hyperthermia
Describe the mechanism of fever
Explain the stages of fever, including why chills occur first and sweating later
Explain the mechanism of action of antipyretics
Perform a systematic nursing assessment of a patient with fever
Recognize danger signs and escalate care appropriately
Certificates

Complete the post-test and achieve a score of 70% or higher.
